Comparativa de la cirugía del pie en los años 50 y actualmente

Resumen

La cirugía del pie ha avanzado durante el transcurso de los años. En los años 50 se realizaban cirugías menores por parte del cirujanocallista (especialidad de la carrera de Ayudante Técnico Sanitario) o licenciados en medicina y cirugía. Tenían presentes pruebas preoperatorias como la glucosa y la tensión arterial así como conceptos de asepsia para minimizar los riesgos de infección. Los métodos de esterilización del instrumental e incluso el instrumental eran más precarios y menos sofisticados que en la actualidad pero se realizaban con constancia para evitar complicaciones postquirúrgicas.
La anestesia y los anestésicos empleados varían respecto a los años presentes, así como la técnica troncular del primer dedo que empleaban para la cirugía de onicocriptosis, que en los años 50 ya se intervenía quirúrgicamente para solventar dicha dolencia.
La hemostasia se realizaba como en la actualidad pero tanto el instrumento y la técnica varían, aunque el concepto hemostático es el mismo y se empleaba para cirugía de los dedos.
En los años 50 se realizaba cirugía osteoarticular por parte del cirujano-callista y no sólo de partes blandas. Las exostosis subungueales y dedos en martillo eran las cirugías más frecuentes a pesar de que las técnicas quirúrgicas no son las que se emplean actualmente. La finalidad de este artículo consiste en aprender cuales eran las funciones en el ámbito de la cirugía por parte del cirujano-callista en los años 50 y comprender analizando mediante comparativas porque realizaban los preoperatorios, postoperatorios y las cirugías como las efectuaban, con tal de poder obtener una visión del porqué actualmente han cambiado las técnicas. En definitiva obtener conclusiones de aquello en lo que se ha mejorado.

Abstract

The surgery of the foot has advanced during the course of the years. In the 50s already they realized minor surgeries on the part of the surgeon - chiropodist (speciality of the career(race) of technical Sanitary assistant) or licensed in medicine and surgery. They had presents you try before the operation as the glucose and arterial tension and concepts of asepsis for to reduce the risks of infection. The methods of sterilization of the set of instruments and even the set of instruments they were more precarious and less sophisticated than at present but they were realized by witness to avoid postsurgical complications.
The anesthesia and the used anesthesics change with regard to the present years, as well as the Technology of the first finger that they were using for the surgery of onicocriptosis, That in the 50s already was controlled surgically to settle the above mentioned ailment. The  hemostasia was carrying out as at present but so much the instrument and the technology. They change, though the hemostatic concept is the same and it was using for surgery of fingers.
In the 50s already surgery was realized osteoarticular on the part of the surgeon – chiropodist and not only of soft parts. The exostosis under the nail and fingers in hammer were the surgeries more frequent to sorrow that the surgical technologies are not those that are used nowadays.
The purpose of this article consists of learning which were the functions in the area of the surgery on the part of the surgeon - chiropodist in the 50s and to understand analyzing by means of comparative because they were fulilling the preoperatorios, postoperatory and surgeries like them were effecting so as to be able to obtain a vision of the reason. Nowadays they have changed the technologies. Definitively to obtain conclusions of that one in what has been improved.
